5/27/2008: Jeb Bush to Replace Tony Snow at Ashbrook Memorial Dinner

The following is a statement from Peter W. Schramm, Executive Director of the Ashbrook Center for Public Affairs at Ashland University:

“We regret to inform our friends that Tony Snow cannot attend Thursday’s 23rd Annual Ashbrook Memorial Dinner. Although we do not know any of the medical details, we do know that his doctors have told him he cannot travel. Our prayers are with Tony.

“I am, however, pleased to inform you that former Florida Governor Jeb Bush has very generously agreed to take Tony Snow’s place as the keynote speaker for the event. We are very grateful to Governor Bush for his willingness to join us in Ohio on such short notice and are pleased to include him in our distinguished list of speakers that include not only Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher, but also his mother, former first lady Barbara Bush and his father, former President George H. W. Bush.”
